DIY Sugar Scrub

I found a recipe for a pretty easy at-home sugar scrub while supporting my addiction to Pinterest, so today I decided to try making the scrub and seeing how well it actually works. Working in transportation for a school district and working around buses can get your hands really dirty and covered in grease and sometimes diesel. We have this pumice scrub available to us but sometimes it runs out and doesn't get refilled quickly, so I'm hoping this will work wonders and I won't have to worry about not having access to the scrub anymore, in theory. Visit here if you desire to see the original posting about this sugar scrub.

So making the scrub was pretty simple and took roughly five minutes. I made Momma Burke and the stepdad try the scrub with me and so far there is a general consensus that the scrub is ok. but only the test of time will really tell. So here is the procedure that I did:

Ingredents:
Sugar
Liquid Soap (the recipe I originally found used Dawn with Olay)
A container of your choosing (I used a mason jar since Momma Burke has so many...)

Directions:
1.) Fill the mason jar 3/4 sugar

2.) Add the liquid soap to the bottom of the mouth of the mason jar.

3.) Mix the sugar and liquid soap until it the mixture is paste like. You will need to add more sugar as you mix to achieve this goal.

4.) Enjoy your new sugar scrub!

Note: Something that was brought to buy attention as a potential problem is the sugar could become uncrystallized. Momma Burke says that the solution to that is you would have to stir it occasionally, but until I have concrete proof the sugar scrub is going to be under observations.
